Families who are displaced for whatever reason – eviction, inability to make ends meet, divorce, domestic abuse, disaster, or whatever – we are working to provide quick, easy access to resources that can help put a roof over your family’s head. There are resources in the State and in the County. We are working to mobilize them and educate more people about how to access these resources.
We’re working with state, county and local government to put together a practical solution that will help provide temporary housing to those who want help. While there are plenty of beds available in most areas, there are still those who have trouble finding availability. For those people, we shall continue our efforts.
A good percentage of the homeless have at least some form of mental illness. Every since the government abolished mental health institutions, there has been little in the way of a clear way to house these people. Some of these people are too ill to understand that they need housing. We’re working to provide solutions.
